Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the General Services Administration's IT Acquisition Services Center.
The OSS team shall provide Support to the GSA in the following areas:
Geographic area to be served: GSA Central office Headquarters, its 11 Regional office Buildings and 451 remote field offices.

- OSS teamed with CACI and P3 and was Awarded a five (5) year contract to Enhance the FCC's "IT Security Management Support".
This is the first effort to incorporate OSS, CACI and P3 Solutions into a winning team. Work on the contract includes providing security expertise; certification and accreditation (C&A) activities; security tests and evaluations for all IT systems and configurations; both physical and IT vulnerability and risk assessments; and responding and supporting Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and computer security incident inquiries and investigations. Additional efforts include supporting Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Processes (DRP); supporting agency computer security awareness training activities; and providing IT infrastructure and program security support. Our team also supports the Office of Inspector General¡¯s (OIG) Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and financial audit activities; assisting with the development of system security plans; and supporting Network Security Operations Center (NSOC) activities. There is also an OSS representative on the FCC Configuration Control Board who provides input towards change requests to ensure adequate security safeguards exist to protect data, and to help avoid potential problems prior to implementation.

- OSS teamed with ManTech and was Awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement to Enhance U.S. Department of State Information Assurance
OSS announced today that it will be awarded a Sub-Contract BPA (Blanket Purchase Agreement) by ManTech for the U.S. Department of State (DoS) to support the Department's Security Assurance Services and Innovations (SASI) program. The Mantech team was one of eight businesses that won prime BPA awards. The five-year (one base year, four option years) BPA has a master ceiling valued at $710 million in the aggregate for the eight awarded BPAs. The purpose of the BPA is to support DoS information assurance services around the world.
With this award, the SASI program aims to assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information through a secure environment and protect information and information technology resources from intrusion by hostile parties. While the Office of Computer Security of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security and the Office of Information Assurance of the Bureau of Information Resource Management will be the two largest components of the Department to utilize the BPA, it will be available to the entire DoS - enabling the Department to enhance compliance with mandates set under the Federal Information Security Management Act.
Mar 2007 - Springfiled, Va., OSS today announced it has been selected by the United States Department of Agricucalture (USDA) the Office of the CIO to provide Information Assurance (IA) and Information Technology (IT) support for USDA. OSS is one of thirteen companies that can compete for task orders under the three-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with a $65 million ceiling. Orders can also be directed to OSS.
OSS will support the USDA in the following functional areas:
The BPAs have fixed price and time and material task orders and can be used by all civilian agencies except DHS. There is no fee and the BPA’s period of performance goes through September 2010.
Dec 2006 - OSS Cable Completes Access Control Installation
OSS Cable Division completed installation of access control and CCTV system at the Houston, TX facility of Mosaic Crop Nutrition. This state of the art system includes HID Proximity Readers with Bio-Metric authentication along with Pan/Tilt/Zoom security cameras. The security upgrade also utilizes Air Blown Fiber (ABF) as the fiber backbone of the system. Mosaic contracted with OSS as part of an enterprise wide security upgrade for multiple facilities across the US. This security upgrade is in response to upcoming DHS regulations dealing with securing port facilities that deal with hazardous materials. The new security system will become the basis for compliance with the new Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) program.
Aug 2006 - in Springfield, Virginia, OSS as a Sub-Contractor to CACI for the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) EAGLE contract has been awarded one of 25 companies in the program's unrestricted track that may compete for task orders under the five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. The CACI's EAGLE team award is focused in Functional Category 5: Management Support Services.
Functional Category 5 includes the full range of business and technical management services are included. These services assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, guidelines and directives. These documents and guidance allow DHS to comply with the requirements of law and legislation, and operate their enterprise in an efficient and effective manner.

Jul 2006 in Springfield, Virginia OSS as a Sub-Contractor to EDS announced that the EDS Team has been selected to provide information technology (IT) services to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the agency’s newly awarded Eagle contract. The EDS Team is one of 25 companies in the program's unrestricted track that may compete for task orders under the five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract.
The EDS Team bid on and won the opportunity to compete for task orders in three functional categories of the Eagle contract: infrastructure engineering design, development, implementation and integration; operations and maintenance; and software development.
DHS agencies will use the Eagle contract to purchase a range of information technology (IT) services to support the department’s mission of securing our nation and its citizens. Eagle will give DHS a vehicle for standardizing disparate IT systems and architectures and deploying enterprise-wide solutions and Both OSS and EDS look to be a strategic partner with DHS in addressing their IT requirement over the next 5 years.
May 2006 - USAID awarded OSS a follow-on task to provide information security support for the office of the Chief Information Security Officer. OSS will continue to provide engineering and operational support for computer security technologies and will continue to manage the Agency's FISMA compliance program. With OSS's support, USAID's FISMA program has been rated at an A+ level for the past two years.
2006 - The OSS team at USCG FINCEN, working with USCG, GCE and Unisys, assisted in an upgrade of the CAS financial system. OSS implemented 14 Storage Area Network (SAN) attached servers. Due in part to the successful implementation, team OSS has been requested to take over the responsibility of the SAN infrastructure at USCG FINCEN.
2006 - OSS' team at USAID implements a solution that will allow for wireless connectivity at some USAID missions. The team evaluated many products before choosing the AirTight series of sensors and network appliances for the Wireless Intrusion Detection System.
Early 2006 - OSS Cable Division installed a new security system at Arlington Hospital, Arlington, Virginia. Teaming with Secure Technology Inc., OSS has assisted in the implementation of the new wiring and access control devices. The CM Neural Technology system is a peer-to-peer system that controls all doors within the hospital. A child monitoring system was implanted into the Neo-Natal Intensive Care unit that matches parents with their newborn child. A bracelet is given to both and the doors to the unit will not open unless the parent has the correct child.
Feb 2005 - In mid-February the Small Business Association (SBA) awarded a $14.5M letter of contract to the Northern Taiga Ventures Inc. (NTVI), and OSS team to perform Information Technology Infrastructure support for the SBA. Manning the Network Operations Center and Helpdesk support for the SBA will be the two primary support areas for OSS.
Jan-Jun 2005 - OSS renews current contract with the Social Security Administration. The SSA has exercised the option years for both the IWMS Paperless Contract and the NetFinity Server Maintenance Contract. OSS is providing on-site support for over 200 servers and hundreds of workstations and scanners under these contracts on a nation-wide basis.
Jan-Jun 2005 - OSS Cable Division recently installed approximately 60 fiber drops at the Kaiser Permanente offices in Baltimore, MD.
Jan-Jun 2005 - OSS was awarded the contract re-compete for Financial Systems and Network Operation support at the United States Coast Guard Financial Center (USCG FINCEN). A new responsibility for OSS is the redesign, implementation and support of the new Storage Area Network (SAN).
Jan-Jun 2005 - OSS joined with SAIC and a host of other companies to win the MSC Ashore re-compete in January '05.
Sept 2004 - Along with SEI, OSS teamed with a major audio visual firm to submit a winning proposal to upgrade the Executive Conference Facility (ECF) for the office of the Under Secretary of Defense.
Sept 2004 - OSS collaborates with Systems Engineering Inc. (SEI) to install a Free Space Optics (FSO) system from Canon for the federal court system in Albuquerque, NM.
Sept 2004 - OSS resumes major contract award from the US dept of Agriculture to continue the implementation of the Innovative Financial Technologies (IFT) Financial Management Product. This will allow for the completion of the pilot program that has been testing at USDA for the past year.

vulnerability identification and prioritization on a numerical scale that tells
system administrators what to fix first an how.” The payoff – since February when
nCircle’s vulnerability management system was implemented, USAID’s network
security rating has improved from a “C” letter grade to an “A” letter grade.
USAID’s rating is the only “A” within the Federal Government.
Jun 2003 - In response to many power outages at USCG FINCEN, OSS implements an American Power's InfraStruXure system. This provides for the total redundancy of the UPS' supporting the finance center.
Jun 2003 - OSS completes pilot implementation of netForensics Security Information Manager and installation of Citrix Intrusion Detection Systems throughout USAID's headquarters and the DC area.
Jun 2003 - OSS completes major network infrastructure re-design and integration at the United States Coast Guard Finance Center (USCG FINCEN), Chesapeake Virginia. The design took the USCG FINCEN from a single VLAN (single broadcast domain) to a 27 VLANS and also from a single non-segmented core design to a segmented core access level design.
Jun 2003 - OSS begins Global Operating System Upgrade Project (GOSUP) for the Military Sealift Command (MSC). Early stages include a Current State Assessment (CSA) of the existing Windows technologies in place within MSC and a Future State Analysis. This is followed by the deployment of Microsoft Server 2000 and Active Directory.
Jun 2003 - OSS was awarded a new contract within the Social Security Administration to provide maintenance for IBM servers.
Jun 2003 - OSS Cabling Department begins installing the fiber backbone in the new building on the National Institute of Health (NIH) campus, as well as the outside cable plant. Air Blown Fiber was used for this project.
Sept 2002 - OSS begins work as a subcontractor to Bearing Point Consulting (formerly KPMG Consulting) on the initial task awarded under the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Info. Systems (PEO(EIS)). OSS was tasked to provide program management and technical support services to assist the US Army in its efforts to field Common Access Card (CAC) readers and middleware for 1.4 million Army personnel in it's world wide active duty Army, Army Reserve and National Guard.

OSS Shares in $93M Naval Surface Warfare Contract
Anteon International Corporation
announced today that it has been awarded a five-year contract by the Naval Surface
Warfare Center, Carderock Division, to support the Navy's Enabling Technologies
(Smart Technologies) program. The estimated value for this multi-award contract
is $93 million. The Anteon team, which includes Open System Sciences, will
provide engineering and technical support services for the transition of
"Smart Technology" processes from research and development to
shipboard installation and operation. The contract is designed to support the
Navy's efforts to reduce ships' manning requirements by incorporating
technologies such as web-connecting sensors to provide "real time"
information on the status of ship systems.

- OSS Completes DISA Eagle Project
Open System Sciences recently completed work on the
design and installation of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
project Eagle. The project, worth an estimated $13M, consisted of the design
and installation of conventional copper cabling, as well as standard and air
blow fiber optic cabling, design and installation of the classified and
unclassified Local Area Network, and the design and installation of a
Voice-over-IP phone system designed to support over 3,000 users. Project Eagle
entailed the relocation of approximately 2,000 DISA employees from numerous
leased locations throughout Northern Virginia into one 425,000 square foot
building located in Falls Church, VA.

- OSS Shares in $1B DoD Pact
Open System Sciences was recently selected by the Pentagon Information
Technology Services Center (PITSC) to provide products and services for the
Department of Defense's Defense Message System (DMS). This contract vehicle,
with a ceiling of $1B, has since been renamed Secure Communications. The
general purpose of this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ)
contract is to provide a vehicle for the streamlined acquisition of Secure
Communications, Communications Gateway Systems, and Defense Messaging Systems
(DMS) to include hardware, software, and services for PITSC customers, as well
as other Federal agencies.
Sept 2001 - Along with our partner American Management Systems, AMS, OSS completes the implementation of network management applications for the Virginia Department of Taxation.
Sept 2001 - OSS was awarded a five-year, IDIQ contract to provide program management and technical support services to the Pentagon IT Service Center. The principal focus of the contract is the design and implementation of the Defense Message System (DMS) and Communication Gateway Systems for the Pentagon organization and their affiliates.

Jan 2001 - OSS completes installation of a new fiber optic backbone and Navy MicroSNAP upgrade on the US Navy Minesweeper USS Sentry (MCM3) based in Texas.
Jan 2001 - OSS was awarded the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Project Eagle Phase 1 with our industry partner, Information Systems Support in January 2001. OSS and ISS were tasked to install a 6000 drop fiber optic/twisted pair cable plant for the new DISA building in Falls Church, VA.
