Location: Washington D.C. (metro accessible) The Certification & Accreditation Specialist ensures that Information Systems are designed and developed with appropriate security features and safeguards as outlined in organization policy. Certification and Accreditation testing is performed to determine if systems comply with applicable security policies and directives. Develops, reviews and evaluates documentation associated with client C&A plans and processes. Required experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in conducting Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities within a Federal Agency. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Experience with CSAM is preferred. PLEASE NOTE: This position is a six month contract with the possibility of going permanent. This is a full time position – not shift work. LOCATION: Washington D.C. – metro accessible (within one block) Position will provide technical direction, guidance and management over site to staff providing operational support to the Network Operation Center to include 2500 workstations, 280 servers in 80 locations. Position will be a key member of the Network Operations staff performing problem-cause analysis beyond that which can be provided by Tier I or II, generally technical in nature and will interfacing with vendor technical representatives or help desk services to resolve escalated network problems Candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintenance of all areas of network operations including but not limited to; Exchange Enterprise, Windows 2003 Active Directory, Blackberry Enterprise Servers, Fax Servers, Routers, Switches, LAN/WAN environment, Web, etc. Candidate will serve as point of contact for the Network Integration Branch for network problem resolution. Candidate will be responsible for documenting LAN/WAN configurations, procedures and best practices, and creating and maintaining patch management records/information. Research, evaluate and comply with routine security audits performed on SBA’s Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Servers, Windows Desktops, routers, and switches. SENIOR SECURITY ENGINEER |

Location: Arlington, VA Open System Sciences is looking for a security engineer to help build and manage information security systems for U.S. government clients. Applicants must be technically proficient in a Linux environment. The ideal candidate should be able to engineer and support new security solutions, and apply technology to existing processes and systems to gain efficiencies, using open source and commercial tools/software. The types of systems may include: intrusion detection, log collection/aggregation and analysis, network management, vulnerability scanning and analysis, security information management systems. Preferred candidate should be a team player who is highly motivated, has a great attitude, and possesses solid communication skills. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work in many areas of the information security field. This position has engineering responsibilities as well as responsibilities that are operational in nature. Candidates should be able to hold a U.S. government security clearance. Daily Responsibilities: Security system engineering Other responsibilities vary from project to project but may include: Assisting with ad hoc security projects such as penetration tests, wireless IPS systems, risk assessments, etc. Attending ad hoc and permanent meetings to include change control, technical review, and security review, etc. Other duties as assigned, all analysts are considered to be security consultants capable of working operational and project driven tasks as required Required Technical Requirements: Linux system administration, to include Debian and Red Hat Enterprise; interpreted programming languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby and Unix Shell; Syslog-ng; SAN technology; very strong TCP/IP skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; in-depth knowledge of information security related technologies such as IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus and vulnerability management.
